Harry Potter evaluation

The style of music we used for our credit sequence started off quite and low paced when the credit sequence had finished the music jumped to a very pacy and loud feel I think our choice for this dark and gloomy music was because of the dark colours used in the scene and as a group we wanted to convey that dark feeling to the audience. However some of the feedback we got from the class wasn't positive about our opening sequence but there is room for improvement. Out of 10 I believe that our credit sequence was quite effective so 5. For the playground sequence the feel of music we used differed from shot to shot, the first shot was very happy and jolly as there was kids playing in the playground, however the music changed to very quite sad an slow feel as harry was sitting on his own on the swing he seemed quite lonely. when the gang appeared the music also changed all of a sudden loud and very fast maybe warning the audience that something bad may happen. By using these different types of music we were able to cross the mood of how we felt of what's happening. Out of 10 I will give our playground sequence 4. We hadn't quite got to the Dementors scene. However if we had had enough time to finish it the feel of music I would have used to create that mood in the audience mind would have been quite pacy but also intense to get the audience in that tensed up mode and wanting to know what might happen next, I would have also used different feels of music such as very quite to sudden loudeness just to get the audience thinking it is over but yet again the music will start to pace up and the whole frightening mood will start of again. I'm quite pleased with my final sequence although if had the chance to re-do my work again there is a lot of room for improvements to be made, however I'm happy with the work I have produced. out of 10 I will give my work 5.
